Mother’s Day Offerings

I’ve been told on good authority by someone who grew up in a family of florists that Mother’s Day engenders one of the busiest seasons for those in the flower business. If you’d like to avoid a seasonal rush but offer a special someone in your life a floral tribute, why not consider one (or two) of my tulip paintings?

And remember the rest of womankind who happen not to be biological mothers — the godmothers, the stepmothers, the foster mothers, the adoptive mothers, the surrogate mothers, the den-mothers, the soccer-moms, the stage mothers, the aunts, the educational and professional mentors — all those of us I call “sparemothers” — whose support so many of us have relied on and appreciated. 

I’ll bet you know someone would love a bouquet of tulips…
